Located on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, Djeti-Oguz Gorge and the Kok-Zhayyk Jailoo are natural wonders that offer an unforgettable escape into nature. "Djeti-Oguz," translating to "Seven Bulls," refers to the striking red sandstone cliffs that resemble a line of giant bulls, with the majestic peak of Oguz Bashi, or "Bull's Head," standing tall at 5181 meters at the end of the gorge. Nearby, the "Broken Heart" rock adds to the area's romantic and mythical charm.

The Kok-Zhayyk Jailoo, or "green meadow," serves as a gateway to several hiking routes, including the enchanting "Maiden Braids" waterfall, where local legend says dreams come true. Visitors can immerse themselves in the local culture by staying overnight in traditional nomadic yurts, experiencing the warm hospitality and serene environment.

The area is renowned for its refreshing mountain air, dense Tien Shan spruce forests, vibrant fields of wildflowers, clear rivers home to mountain trout, and mysterious caves. A historic sanatorium at 2,200 meters offers therapeutic hot springs that have been providing effective treatments for various ailments since Soviet times.

Djeti-Oguz Gorge is accessible and well-equipped for tourists, featuring main roads, ample parking, picnic spots, and scenic viewpoints. Activities include hiking, horseback riding, and in winter, skiing and snowshoeing, with year-round yurt camps catering to visitors. This diverse and captivating destination is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility in the heart of Kyrgyzstan's natural beauty.
