Peak Drujba

Barskoon
Altitude:4349 m

Challenge yourself with a climb to one of our majestic peaks. The journey may be tough, but the breathtaking views from the top are worth every step.

A rocky peak with a small glacier in the Barskoon valley

Mount Drujba, meaning "friendship," is located south of the West Dungurome Valley. It is clearly visible ahead as you drive up the Barskoon Valley road, before reaching the ecological checkpoint and the switchbacks.

On its northwest face, there remains a 200-meter glacier snowfield. The southern approach from the Barskoon Pass is easier and does not require special mountaineering equipment.

From the summit, the view is breathtaking, overlooking the Barskoon Valley and Lake Issyk Kul in the background. On its southern flank, at the base of the large glacier to the east, lies the small Bel Lake, approximately 150 meters long. Further down, the outflow from this lake forms a waterfall that can be seen in the switchbacks before reaching the Barskoon Pass.

This peak is emblematic of Barskoon, as it is prominently visible even from the forested area below.
