Yrdyk

Yrdyk is a small village located approximately 7 kilometers west of Karakol city in Kyrgyzstan. 

The village was established in 1877 under the name of Marinskoe, which was later changed to Dyishin before being renamed to Yrdyk. The village was founded on the site of the former Dungan village of Mariinskoye.

Yrdyk is known as a Dungan village, which is a group of Chinese-speaking Muslims who fled to Kyrgyzstan during the Hui Minorities' War in the 19th century. The village is situated at the foot of the Terskey Alatoo mountain range and is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
